What we collect

• Order information: your name, email address, the books you buy, order value and date.
• Payment information: handled by our payment provider, MoonPay Commerce. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and limited transaction details (such as a transaction reference and, for crypto payments, a wallet address). We never receive your full card number.
• Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Technical data: our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the website.

• MoonPay Commerce, to process your payment. They act under their own privacy policy for payment and identity checks they are required to carry out.
• Our website hosting provider, which hosts this site and stores contact-form submissions.
• Our email provider, to send order emails and reply to you.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site; your browser connects to Google's servers to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
• Professional advisers, and authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK's adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep order and transaction records for six years after the end of the financial year in which they occurred, to meet accounting and tax requirements. We keep contact messages for up to two years unless they relate to an order.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. To exercise any right, email bgbookslimited@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
